Addon Domains
Addon domains are fully functional, independent websites hosted within a single cPanel account. Each addon domain has its own files, mailboxes and statistics, and visitors will see no evidence that it shares hosting with another site.
You can host as many addon domains as your package allows, each with its own directory, email accounts and one-click installs. It is the most popular way to host multiple websites affordably.
Parked Domains
A parked domain is a registered domain that points to your primary domain. Visitors to the parked domain will see the same content as your main site. This is commonly used for brand protection, where you register alternative extensions or common misspellings.
For example, you might park yourdomain.com, yourdomain.net and yourdomain.org so they all display your primary site hosted on yourdomain.co.uk.
Subdomains
A subdomain uses your existing primary domain with a prefix, such as blog.yourdomain.co.uk or shop.yourdomain.co.uk. Each subdomain has its own files and can run a completely different website without registering a new domain name.
Subdomains are ideal for creating distinct sections of your site, testing new designs or running separate applications like a forum or support portal.

Multi-Domain Hosting FAQ
An addon domain is a fully functional, separate domain that you add to your hosting account via cPanel. It acts as an independent website with its own files, email accounts and visitor statistics. When someone visits your addon domain, there is no evidence that it shares hosting with your primary domain – it behaves exactly like a standalone hosting package.
An addon domain is a completely separate website (e.g. domain2.co.uk) with its own files and mailboxes, hosted alongside your primary domain. A parked domain is a domain name that points to your primary domain and displays the same content – useful for brand protection across different extensions. A subdomain uses your primary domain with a prefix (e.g. blog.yourdomain.co.uk) and has its own files, but does not require a new domain registration.
After purchasing your multi-domain package, log in to cPanel and use the Addon Domains section to add your extra domains. You will need to make sure that each domain's nameservers are pointed to ns1.hpdns.net, ns2.hpdns.net, ns3.hpdns.net and ns4.hpdns.net. You can also use DNS A records to point a domain to your hosting if you prefer to keep other services elsewhere.
Point your domains to ns1.hpdns.net, ns2.hpdns.net, ns3.hpdns.net and ns4.hpdns.net. Four geographically distributed nameservers for fast, redundant DNS resolution. If you prefer, you can also use DNS A records to point your domain to the server IP address instead of changing nameservers.
Yes, every addon domain can have its own email accounts, forwarders and autoresponders. You manage all email accounts for all your domains from the same cPanel interface. Each domain's email is completely independent.
Our Mega multi-domain package supports up to 10 domains, while Giga supports unlimited domains – add as many as you need from within cPanel. If you require completely separate cPanel accounts for each domain, our reseller packages starting at 25 accounts may be a better fit.
With shared multi-domain hosting, all your domains share a single cPanel account and server resources. With reseller hosting, each domain gets its own cPanel account managed under WHM, giving full separation of files, databases and resources.
