Is the site migration really free?

Yes, we offer free like-for-like migration for all shared cloud hosting packages. Simply purchase your hosting package and raise a support ticket to request the migration. Our team will handle everything from start to finish.

How long does a migration take?

Most migrations are completed within 24-48 hours, though this can vary depending on the size and complexity of your website. Our team will keep you informed throughout the process and work to minimise any downtime.

Will my website go down during migration?

We work to ensure little or no downtime during migration. Our experienced team have migrated thousands of sites and manage the entire process to ensure a smooth transition to our platform.

Can you migrate my email accounts?

We can migrate cPanel-based email accounts. For other email systems, you will need to back up your emails locally and sync them back once your hosting is set up on our platform. We recommend using an email client that supports IMAP for the smoothest transition.

What types of website can you migrate?

We can migrate all types of websites including WordPress, WooCommerce, Joomla, Drupal and static HTML sites. Our cloud platform was specifically built with WordPress in mind but supports all standard web technologies.

How do I request a migration?

Planting
Trees

We've supported reforestation projects across England, Wales and Scotland, including the Alladale Reserve in the Scottish Highlands, where thousands of native trees – Caledonian pine, alder, holly, aspen and oak – have been planted to regenerate river banks and natural habitats.

Renewable
Energy

We were one of the first companies to use free cooling in our data centre. Since then we have always used renewable energy by choice, and are certified by The Green Web Foundation to ensure our power comes from legitimate renewable sources.

Efficient
Infrastructure

We were one of the first UK hosts to combine cold aisle containment and free cooling chillers, saving up to 60% on air conditioning and running our infrastructure at the highest possible efficiency.

Green
Perks

We want to be green through and through. From the renewable energy we use to the eco projects we support across the UK, our commitment to the environment runs through everything we do.

Smooth transition, excellent value for money

Recently moved hosting to Ecohosting. It's been a smooth, easy transition and when I've needed support it's been there – quickly, friendly and effectively. Control panel is easy to use, service is fast, no complaints at all! And, perhaps most importantly, it's excellent value for money.

Problems dealt with quickly and efficiently

Problems can crop up in every walk of life. What matters is how those problems are dealt with when they appear. I've been with Eco Hosting for several years now and on the few occasions when issues have arisen, they've been dealt with quickly and efficiently. Very happy with the service.
