We are Here To Help
We have multiple TAGs, but we mainly use ENIXLTD for our shared cloud platform. Our name servers are different for each platform we provide. Nameservers can be found in your "New Account Information" email when the account is created.
All web hosting accounts are activated in real time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We send your welcome email within minutes of your account being ordered (dependant on your ISP).
Domains are registered as soon as you order them, however it can take a couple of hours for the DNS to become active.
Yes, you do not have to buy the web hosting when you buy a domain name.
All hosting accounts come with mailboxes. These mailboxes run IMAP4 + POP3 alongside each other and by using the details sent in your welcome email you can easily set up your mailbox on the system and subsequently on your mobile device. Help notes can be found in your hosting control panel.
It is possible to run php code in .html files by adding the following to a .htaccess file.
AddHandler cgi-script .html
SetEnv PHP_EXTENSION .html.
Just get in touch via the support ticket system and let us know the new domain name. We'll switch the domain on the account for you. Please be aware that you'll need to change the nameservers (if with a different registrar) to point to us. The domain name for access to the Hosting Control Panel, the temporary URL, and username will ALL change to the new domain name as a result of those changes.
This can be done via your Admin Dashboard or by ticket to the support team if you are unable to do this yourself.
In order to change the Owner contact (ie, the registrant - the legal owner) of a .uk domain, a request needs to be made directly to Nominet or us as we are an Accredited Channel Partner. They can advise you of the procedure and they'll charge £12 to do this, you can find more details at https://www.nic.uk. Alternatively we can do this for you and charge the same.
When we create a hosting package, we place a simple index.html holding page into the public_html folder. This should be removed prior to a new site being uploaded.
All live site files should be placed into the public_html folder, if they are not in this folder then the default page may still be displayed. You may be seeing a cached version of your site - press Ctrl+F5 in your browser to clear the cache.
We can try to help point you in the right direction. We can use some useful tools to help diagnose where the issues may lie and give you a report on how to fix it. This is a chargeable service that can be selected from the add ons area.
